A page for book reviews

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that I’ve recently added a new page to my blog, in which I have collected all of my book reviews. You can find it here. Or, you know, by following the link near the top of the page.

Over time I’ve ended up posting quite a lot of book reviews and I thought it might be helpful (for me, if not necessarily for anyone else) to be able to find them all in one place. So that’s what this page is for.

A page for book reviews
Ta-da!

While getting this done I was pushed to do something I should probably have done a while ago: Housekeeping. Or, I suppose, blogkeeping. There were so many posts which had naff photos, or typos (ok, some probably still have typos) or silly URLs, like date-based things that had nothing to do with the review itself. Anyway, I’ve done my best to go back and fix a lot of that stuff and hopefully the result is not only that the new page looks quite neat, but that the blog as a whole is a little bit neater too.

Now, I should say, that in order to get the page looking approximately the way I want it, I’ve had to employ a little html. My html skills are super rusty. I think the last time I used them I was customising my MySpace page, so do forgive me if things look a bit odd on certain browsers or devices. For example, I know that weird gaps in the grid appear in some browsers and figuring out why is already on my to-do list. That said, if you notice any other strange effects, please feel free to let me know.

Maybe one day I’ll expand this idea to cover other types of post, or I’ll learn a little more html/CSS/JavaScript and make things fancier but, in the meantime, I’m happy with how things are. And now, I’d better stop putting off writing that next review.
