May roundup

For the past couple of months, I’ve been writing monthly roundups, having stolen the idea from Gordon and Siobhan. So far, I like the idea. It’s a bit like a status report and I do love any opportunity to monitor… well… anything, really.

So, without any further ado, here’s my May round up:

Financial status: Not bad, given we did some travelling this month

Mostly wearing: Shorts and t-shirts in Croatia, suits in Scotland. I’ve been going to interviews.

Mostly eating: Barbeque food! Ok, maybe not mostly but it had been sunny enough over the past few weeks to enjoy some outdoor cooking and dining.

Mostly drinking: White wine+soda+ice=my perfect summer refresher.

Mostly buying: Holiday stuff. Suitcase, shorts, bikinis, travel money, sunscreen, souvenirs. It all adds up yo.

Steps taken: ~480,000

Major events:

Yeah, it’s been a big month.

Reading done: The Plague by Albert Camus, Insane Clown President by Matt Taibbi, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger and Bodies Are Where You find Them by Brett Halliday

Films watched: Guardian’s of the Galaxy Vol 2, Alien Covenant, Fast and the Furious 8

Places eaten: Habenero’s (Falkirk), Sinbad’s (Falkirk), Artisan Tap (Falkirk), Noor’s (Falkirk), Four Seasons Garden (Falkirk), Mandrać (Lopud Island), Restaurant Panorama (Dubrovnik), Sunj Beach Bar (Lopud Island), Obala (Lopud Island), Konoba Dubrovnik (Lopud Island), North Star (Falkirk), McPhabb’s (Glasgow), The Bridge 49 Cafe (Linlithgow)

Best joke heard:

Two Athletes meet at the Olympics. One asks the other, “Are you a pole vaulter?” The other replies, “No, I am Sweedish, and how did you know my name was Walter?”
